RECIPE: Hot Honey Crispy Chicken 🍗🍯 Serving Size: 4 Recommended serve with: French fries, mashed potatoes, green beans, Brussel sprouts, or Caesar salad Ingredients: Hot honey (I used Savannah Bee Company from my local grocery store) - This is not HEATED honey, it’s just spicy honey! 4 chicken breasts, sliced in halves 2 cups flour 4 eggs 4-6 cups Corn Flakes cereal Avocado oil, vegetable oil, or canola oil for frying Salt and pepper, for taste Recipe: 1. Slice your chicken breasts in half and beat with a mallet to thin the chicken breasts well. 2. Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides. 3. Heat a pan with oil, enough to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Heat on medium heat. 4. Take out 3 trays or plates. Fill the first one with flour, the second one with egg (beaten), and the third one with corn flakes. 5. Use a fork to drench your chicken breasts in flour on both sides, then egg, then cornflakes. Make sure to use a fork to really press the cornflakes into the chicken on each side, this will help it stick better while frying. 6. Once the oil is heated, add your chicken onto the pan. Let cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, making sure the internal temperature is 165 F degrees. 7. Once the chicken is done cooking, turn off the stove and place the chicken onto a cooling rack to allow any excess oil to drip off. 8. Once it’s set on the rack for 3 minutes, place onto a plate to serve. Top with hot honey using a spoon or honey dipper. Drizzle as much as you desire!
